Simplicial Complexes as Latent Variables

This talk was directed to the undergraduate students at ITAM. Here I discuss how simplicial complexes (wich are a concept from Algebraic Topology) can be used to define latent variables. This idea is exploited in different contexts to formulate Bayesian models.
